On January 2, 2009 the Pizzi Cannella Archives was constituted in Rome with the purpose of promoting at a national and international level the knowledge and the safeguard of the figure and of the work by Piero Pizzi Cannella. The Archives proposes itself as a meeting point between Pizzi Cannella and his public for the placing in archives of the works of the Artist, their insertion in the General Catalogue (that shall be published in several volumes) and in the issue of the relative certificate of archiving.

Furthermore, the Archives in order to study more closely the work of the Artist, realizes and encourages specific initiatives, such as lessons, meetings, conferences, expositions, publications on Pizzi Cannella and on his period, on that union of artists (with Ceccobelli, Dessi, Gallo, Nunzio, Tirelli) of which he is a part classified as “the New Roman School” or the “San Lorenzo Workshop”, and on the new artistic generations that represent the perspectives of development and of continuity.

Inside the site, besides the description of the activities and of the services carried out by the Archives, the indications and the forms are present for collectors who desire to place in archives the works in their possession, a biographical profile of the artist, the exhibitions in progress, in preparation, permanent and the archive of the shows, a wide bibliographical review and, in the “Bookshop” section, the publications recommended on Pizzi Cannella still available at the publishing houses.

In order to be constantly up-to-date on the events promoted by the Pizzi Cannella Archives, on the cultural manifestations in course on the Artist and on the novelties of the General Catalogue of his work, one can visit the “Events” section.
